Become a Tutor in the Center's Tutoring Program

Begun in 2007, the tutoring program provides high quality practicum experiences for students who are pursuing graduate and undergraduate studies in Reading and Literacy.

Qualifications

Elementary Education majors who are currently taking or have completed C&I 208 and C&I 209 or graduate students are eligible to become tutors. Applicants must pass a background check.

Training

Tutors will receive literacy faculty pre-employment training and ongoing support during their work with the students.

Time commitment

Tutors must make a commitment to work with the student for the entire semester.

Complete this application. Once your application is received, the Center will contact you with more information. Graduate students must submit a new form for each practicum request.
